I'll be reading of Felix Krull, a man who'd sit snugly between Dreyer, Martha, Franz and others of his Germans, while I eat my halloween soup.
Halloween Soup
- Carrots; 4
- Onion; 1, large
- Pumpkin; inside of 1, large
- Potatoes; 6
- Red Lentils; 2 handfulls
- Chilli Powder; 1 tsp
- Stock, 1 cube
- Olive oil
- Salt
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Roast inside of 1 large pumpkin in oil and salt for 1/2 hour
2. Fry onion in almost excessive amount of olive oil till golden brown, simultaneously peel carrots/potatoes
3. When onions are brown add carrots/potato/pumpkin/salt and enough water to cover as well as two handfuls of red lentil
4. Add stock and chilli powder
5. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 2 hours
6. Blend, enjoy (perhaps with sour cream or bacon, as you like)
I just served a trick-or-treater with a pumpkin on her? head.
